For far too long, open footwear comprising slides, V-straps and flipflops in India were bereft of standout products that could be at par with global standards. The time was ripe to reinvent the industry landscape and transform open footwear into a hip fashion accessory for millennials and Gen Z. Thus was born Chupps, the brainchild of Yashesh Mukhi, out of his passion to create product lines that would deliver on supreme comfort, durability, versatility while using premium quality materials.
Their passion sparked a realization—a pressing need to reimagine how we design, manufacture, and bring footwear into our lives. With unwavering determination, CHUPPS was born from this shared vision and their commitment to making a positive impact.
At the heart of CHUPPS lies the artistry of meticulous fabric selection and the pursuit of responsible manufacturing. Every material is thoughtfully chosen, ensuring not only exceptional comfort and durability but also a reduced ecological footprint.
Before co-founding CHUPPS, Yashesh spearheaded his family business, managing an operation comprising of 80 plus retail stores across various malls and airports. He's a skilled finance professional and has successfully closed many finance deals in his career. Yash's business acumen led to the successful divestment of his family-owned women's wear fashion brand Mineral to Future Group. Yashesh is a proud vegan and a devoted parent of two adorable little boys, who keep him on his toes both on and off the court.
Our Story

CHUPPS was born out of a genuine desire to make footwear that not only looks great but feels amazing accessible to a larger section of the Indian population. That's why we focus on creating high-quality shoes that are not only stylish but also functional and comfortable while being pocket-friendly.
We know that your feet are the foundation of your body, and that's why we take great care to ensure that our footwear not only looks great but supports your feet with cushioned soles and supportive arches that help reduce foot fatigue and keep you comfortable throughout the day.
But CHUPPS isn't just about creating great footwear – we're also committed to giving back to the community. We run a program called “Feel Good Friday” every week, where we significantly drop prices on select styles because we believe that everyone deserves access to high-quality footwear. Through our program “Heel the World,” we regularly partner with local organizations in India to donate shoes to those in need.
